MIXr is a professional DJ app that fits in your lap. The app features cross-fading, equalizing, cue, drang & drop tracks, and so much more. You’re basically removing the two laptops between your ipods from your DJ gear. It works like it looks, using the touch screen you can mix the tracks and scratch, pretty straight forward.
Way back in September I boarded the train. Neon lights guiding me Far from where I came.
I know you can't remember How this came to be That you and I were past the hours Talking aimlessly.
Autumn brought you to me. Speed from land to sea. Land to sea and back again And now there's only me Alone.
Tryin' to get through to you, my dear. Oh, my angel, I'm Tryin' to get through to you.
Dawn broke out the window. The glass filled up with pink. You held my hand and told me, "Try hard not to think." You probably can't picture The look that's in my eyes, But I will never forget The heartache of your sighs.
The slow train brought you to me. Fast train sent you back, Sent you far from me and I'm Alone.
Tryin' to get through to you, my dear. Oh, my angel, I'm Tryin' to get through to you, my dear. Oh, my angel, I'm Tryin' to get through to you. Tryin' to get through to you.
The world's shortest walking man, 21-year old He Pingping from Inner Mongolia, died this past weekend from heart complications. Sadly, we do not know much about his life aside from the fact that he was a 27-inch tall chain smoker who spent much of the last few years traveling to Japan, the US, and Italy after being recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2007. I wish people focused more on what kind of person he was and how he coped with the constant stares and media attention instead of just displaying him as a freak show. He's pictured here with the world's tallest man, Bao Xishun, who is also from Inner Mongolia. -lisakatayama
Robert Shapiro was a member of O.J. Simpson's "dream team" of defense lawyers. [double click to read Shapiro's response] In the 1990s Bill Geerhart was an unemployed, not-so aspiring screenwriter in his 30s. To pass the time, he channeled his inner child, 10-year-old Billy, and started writing letters to famous and infamous people and institutions. These letters, written in pencil on elementary school ruled paper, asked funny but relevant questions to politicians, serial killers, movie stars, lobbyists, CEOs, and celebrity lawyers. Geerhart saved copies of his letters and the replies he got back. This week, Harper Collins published them in a book called Little Billy's Letters: An Incorrigible Inner Child's Correspondence with the Famous, Infamous, and Just Plain Bewildered.
You've Come A Long Way Baby (Lyrics by Bobby Conn)
High school sleep over under my bed And when the conversation stops you offer head But I only tease you, I don't know how So you took Jimmy in the ass, I'm so confused You've come a long way, baby, you've come along You've come a long, long, long way down You're father's a hero, he's doing time He held the knife up to your throat when you were three You're mother's a beauty at thirty-nine She took me downstairs for some dope and blew my mind You've come a long way now, baby Skin popping heroin under your desk In New York City you lived in the closet and I wore the dress In San Francisco you got my luggage but I got your gun Back in Chicago that was the last time we had any fun Are you still alive?
I don't know when this movie came out, or the director, but I definitely want to see it cause I love Chloe Sevigny and I love John Maus. Hopefully netflicks has it up so I can stream it, but I doubt it- I'll probably have to rent it from netfilcks and then wait for it in the mail and by the time it shows up I'll never watch it.
